Build a Format in Less Than an Hour

Description

ePublisher formats are the heart and soul of the ePublisher Workflow. This session presents the nuts and bolts of the ePublisher archtecture. First, a high-level overview of ePublisher's pipelining mechanism is presented. Next, we drill down into the "glue" files which enable users to coordinate independant actions to deliver working solutions. The end result is a simple format which can be used as the basis for custom format development.

About the Speaker

Today, Ben Allums is the Director of Engineering at Quadralay Corporation. In 2004, he was a Senior Developer charged with creating an XSLT based engine for the Atlas Project, a.k.a. ePublisher Pro. The details have changed as ePublisher has evolved, but Ben keeps his skills up since he, still a developer at heart, "just likes to make stuff work".
