About WebWorks.

Austin, Texas, since 1992. WebWorks builds the publishing tools technical communication teams run their documentation on — in more than thirty-five countries.

Our vision · 01

Our vision.

WebWorks, a division of Quadralay Corp., builds publishing software on a simple conviction: documentation is worth automating well. Teams that write manuals, help systems, and references shouldn't rebuild them by hand for every format and every release — the pipeline should do that, the same way, every time. That conviction has carried the product line from single-source help publishing in the 1990s to AI-ready documentation today.

"Our mission is to empower the trustees of knowledge and information content with reliable automation solutions. Quadralay is committed to providing world-class service, and enabling our clients to harness the incredible challenges and possibilities of the Information Age to which we are all witness."

Quadralay Corporation.

Quadralay Corporation was incorporated in Austin in 1992 and graduated from the University of Texas' Austin Technology Incubator (ATI) in 1996 — early enough that "publishing to the web" still needed explaining. WebWorks is the company's customer-facing brand: the name on the products, the documentation, and this site.

Today Quadralay serves thousands of customers in more than thirty-five countries, from independent consultants to enterprise documentation teams.

The product line · 03

WebWorks.

The WebWorks product line automates the delivery of online content across formats, languages, and devices. Over 2,000 corporate customers in 6,000 locations run their documentation through WebWorks tools — publishing online help with standard web technologies that work wherever their readers are.

WebWorks ePublisher Platform.

ePublisher automates the conversion of source documents — Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Word, DITA, and now Markdown++ — into web applications and end-user formats: HTML, Microsoft HTML Help, PDF, ePUB. Its web outputs trace the industry's own history. WebWorks Help became an industry standard for online help. WebWorks Reverb arrived in 2010 for the tablet and smartphone era. Reverb 2.0 carries the line into AI-assisted help, with the Reverb AI Assistant answering questions from the published documentation itself.

The pipeline that started with online help now ends with documentation that answers questions. See how the layers fit together on the products page.
